I shared this armoire work in progress here but didn't share the after except for a hint of it in this post.
Our armoire had a pine finish that was too orange and had quite a few knicks. Before:
A new paint job was just what it needed. I love the pop of colour it adds to the family room/kitchen.
Don't be afraid to paint! Painting furniture can make such a huge difference if you don't like the original colour, if the original colour doesn't suit the room it is intended for, or if you just want a fresh new change.
We are really enjoying this blue right now, but when I feel like a change, I can always paint a new colour over top and I can even distress it to show the blue underneath.
The DIY Club has a 31 days of Paint Projects link party and I am linking up. 31 Days of Paint Projects is where we can show off rooms or furniture we have painted, and the top 10 projects will be featured. The winner will get 2 gallons of Dutch Boy paint–so get painting!

Gorgeous! The link at The DIY Club is working now! :)
Love the color. I have an armoire that was given to me in my garage right now that I'm so anxious to paint a fun color. Alas, I have yet to find a place in the house to cram it into. :o(
This turned out so beautifully, Elizabeth! I want to paint a secretary blue before too long for my mom's house. This is great inspiration!
I'm glad you chose a brighter color! It looks fabulous.
Hi Elizabeth! Oh, your armoire is beautiful! Love the pretty color too. I have a little hutch in my breakfast room and I want to paint it but just keep putting it off...you're inspiring me.
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

That looks like a very fun color for your armoire. It makes the piece very country looking and whimsical. I always remind myself of the fact that if I don't like something I can just paint over it. Paint is such a great decorating tool isn't it? Enjoy your new (old) armoire!
I've been crushing on that colour blue for quite awhile now and I've been looking around the house for something to paint that colour...it is just beautiful, so fresh and clean.
Great choice of color, it really makes the armoire stand out!
Hi Elizabeth, this turned out stunning! I love this blue color and the little vignette on top is too adorable!! I wasn't aware of the 31 Days of Painting party, but I am heading over there right now!
XoXo,

I often think wood should stay stained, but in this case you have won me over... blue is my favourite colour and that is lovely!
I love the color and it looks great in the room. I have a couple of pine pieces that I need to paint. Thank you for the inspiration!
