Christmas Home Tour ~2011

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop in!

I'm so glad you came. My home tour has lots and lots of photos, so I will keep the commentary to a minimum. For more details you can stop by the indivdual room links.

~Enjoy the tour~

Welcome to our home, and come on in!

Our porch

(I'm saving a spot on the entry cabinet for our nativity, ours broke and I am searching for another.)
The first room you will see from our entry is the living room

Walking from the entry past our stairs and powder room, to the right is our dining room

Now straight ahead to our family room.

Sharing the cathedral ceiling and skylights with our family room is our kitchen.

We didn't decorate our bedrooms or our basement guest suite this year, at least not yet ; ), so the last stop will be a glance up the stairs to the window in our staircase.

I hope you enjoyed your visit! Before you go I would love if you can take a moment to leave a comment so I know you were here. Thanks!

I will be visiting lots of link ups in the following parties....

Great front porch vignettes. I borrowed your idea of putting the muskoka chair on your front porch. I'm not sure why I hadn't done that before, but it adds just the right amount of interest where before it was pretty blank. Do you leave your blankets and skates etc out all the time. I would be afraid the wind would blow the blanket away. It all looks so welcoming.

I just love your blog and your decorating style. You have real, livable furnishings and decor. Some blogs have furnishings that are very beautiful, but very "over the top" in both style and wallet. Your place is very lovely and makes me feel "I can do that, I can afford that, I may have one of those!" Thanks so much and have a Merry Christmas!

Hi Elizabeth,
I love all of your Christmas decor. You have created a very warm and welcoming Christmas-sy feeling home. I'm sure your children and husband love it and feel very comfortable in it, as would your guests.
Your porch was such an inspiration to me when I decorated mine. I even found skis!
Have a lovely evening.

What a tease! All these beautiful home tours on such a busy week for me!
But I am so glad to steal away for a bit, and to come over to Blue Clear Sky, for your tour is a delight! So many beautiful rooms...and so many wonderful touches in each room. Little surprises abound--from the lovely wreath on the front door to the fabric garlands on your trees to the colored bulbs in the Mason jars to the group of rolling pins with brightly hued handles. Even the stack of red plates on the hutch called to me!
Thanks for sharing (and for visiting me at Thinking About Home). :-)
