The kidney will need to heal for a few weeks before the second surgery to break up the stones. I have had this procedure before so at least I know what to expect. I hope you are all enjoying your early summer weekend, and thanks again for the kind thoughts and prayers.

Oh me. I have had kidney stones one time years ago and was never in so much pain. My daughter in law had surgery for hers a couple of months ago. She has several in both kidneys. Hope you feel better soon.

I"m so sorry to hear you had to have unexpected surgery. I guess you're off now for the summer. I hope you take it easy and get your kidneys sorted out - I hear kidney stones are extremely painful.
