Vintage Croquet Balls and a Wood Bowl

Love the pop of colour these vintage croquet balls add to our mostly neutrals family room.

We now have two croquet sets because our youngest son brought one home from someone's big garbage day pickup pile. The first set was $2 at a neighbour's garage sale a few years ago. I decided to add them to a big black wood bowl on the ottoman in our family room.

At least I think the bowl is wood but I do know it is NOT vintage as I bought it at the Milton Country Heritage Park spring craft fair. The vendor had some really nice primitive looking repurposed and reproduction pieces, displayed so nicely, and I just couldn't resist this.

Hoping you are having an enjoyable summer weekend.

I love your bowl. I have been looking for a dough bowl for a year and have not found one I can afford. I think going the reproduction route is the way to go. I am hoping Antique Farm House offers one at some point. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Great bowl and a greater idea!
I have an old crochet in the shed Every year I say I'm going to take it out and play. Then the thought leaves me and there they sit. We used to have a booth at the Milton spring show. We could not compete with the repops from China. Love your bowl.

Love the pop of color. I am on the look for a vintage croquet set with carrier with rubber wheels, so far no luck.

That is a cute idea to display them in a bowl like that. That's a great summer decoration too.

It does look great, and has inspired me to do something similar with a ton of old pool balls I got in a bag at Salvation Army.

Oh, vintage balls in the bowl are so cute. Now I have to look for balls for my bowl.
