I love finding white dishes to add to my collection.

This little piece was only $3 at a garage sale this weekend so it came home with me. I didn't bother offering less because I was excited to find it.

Don't you just love spotting that one special piece on a table and hoping you get to it before someone else spots it?

Very nice!
Oh you lucky girl! I would've grabbed that beautiful tureen in a heart beat too. I love the shape of it and it looks great in your cabinet. You've got a wonderful collection going!
great addition to a beautiful collection! what a cute shape!
What a lovely collection.
Great find.
Wow Elizabeth, you really find great deals. These dishes are beautiful. I really want to change to all white dishes, but I have the hugest collection of yellow ones. I'm really torn, but yours make me want to go white.

It's a beautiful addition to your collection - which I love by the way! I like the classic shape! What a bargain too!
It looks like it belongs right there. Great find!

Oh my, what a wonderful collection you have! That little tureen was a great find :)
The hunting and the finding is so much fun! That's a gorgeous little tureen, if I had been there we would have been reaching for it at the same time.

Your white tureen is actually a 1-quart sauce tureen by Himark out of Japan. It was made in 1985. I have one here, in the original box and with an original price of $6.50 (in Ronald Reagan dollars). Hope that clears up the mystery of your beautiful little treasure. :)
I also have the matching 2-quart soup tureen. It's a lovely set!
Elizabeth I LOVE your collection! Thanx for joining my party. Hope your weekend is going well!
Awesome find!! Thanks for sharing at Feathered Nest Friday! :)
So cool to see somebody else fell in love with the exact same tureen I did! I found mine at a Goodwill a few months back... it was labeled $5.99, but I waited (semi-patiently) until it went down to 99 cents :) Now it graces my sideboard here: http://www.aheartfulhome.blogspot.com/2012/07/thrifty-treasures-72-ironstone-and-old.html
