Autumn 2011
This is a busy time of year for us but I pulled together a few simple, mostly neutral vignettes. I stocked up on some new scented votives and I will have to see what I can come up with this year. We don't decorate for Hallowe'en until after our Canadian Thanksgiving which is the weekend of October 6-8 this year. Have you started decorating for Fall?

ahhh lovely - I can almost taste the pumpkin pie! too bad we're not closer so we could have a cup of coffee together! I especially love that shelf vignette with your awesome jars!! xoxo
I just started decorating for Fall a little bit. It cooled off for a few days so it got me in the mood. Now it's going back up into the 80's so it feels less right. :) Hope you will stop by and join in my linky party that opens at 8pm EST tonight.
don't laugh ... but i have to do a bit of research to see what you all (Canadians) celebrate ... i wonder is there another website with more info. about the holidays you do celebrate. kind of interesting. my hubby & i had a conversation about it ... he laughed at me. i guess i assumed every one celebrated most holidays (not all) but July 4th. a learning experience for me. (nervous silly giggle.) (:
I love the needlepoint! I love burlap garland too...my hubs HATES it, HATES it...makes his nose itch so bad!
It all looks lovely, and I am looking forward to seeing what you do this year! I have a lot of decorating to do since I've been told I'm doing Thanksgiving this year. It really is fun to entertain. We are having our dinner on the Sunday, which day do you cook your turkey?
Debbie :)
I prefer to decorate in neutral shades for Fall at the moment. I haven't really started putting anything out other than warming up the rooms with more black. I don't decorate for Halloween indoors at all. I just can't live with fake spiderwebs and skulls inside the house! Ha! Love your use of pinecones. I prefer to use natures bounty too.
I haven't started yet but I sure want to! I love your simple vignettes... they are all lovely. Thanks for posting!
Lovely!!. It is not usual to decorate for fall here in Spain, perhaps because here in Andalucia it's very hot till november and then suddenly it's very cold but I'm discovering this habit in your country and I love it. I'm going to do it this year.
I really like what you did last year, just the touches of orange and small things made your home so pretty and Fall-ish.
I love all of your pretty vignettes Elizabeth...you are so talented at that. I just started decorating for Fall this week. Can't wait to see your new look for 2012! Angie xo
Hi Elizabeth, what a great way to feature all your wonderful Fall projects. I'm going to check them out, love that candle in the grapevine with the metal tags!
Thank you for joining the Countdown to Fall Party!

Do you know, I've NEVER had pumpkin pie! I know - I hang my head in shame!! It's just not really eaten much in England!
But whenever I hear of it, I always hope that one day I'll be over there on holiday eating it in style!!
